Overflate is a well-established conference and exhibition for the oil, gas and petrochemical industries. It attracts more than 300 delegates – including owners, operators, fabrication companies, engineering and inspection companies, contractors and suppliers. This year, between the 14th and 15th of November, the conference held over 70 presentations relating to corrosion, insulation and fire protection. The conference’s objective was to address new solutions for a new environment – meeting the challenges being set by an industry that has changed so much over the past few years.
John Dunk presented a paper on behalf of PFPNet entitled ‘PFPNet – Progress Date and Challenges Ahead’. John discussed the progress that this industry group has made over the past two years and the challenges it sees developing as its membership grows and current work programmes come to an end (all work programmes are voted on by members). The presentation also covered members to date, as well as the group’s steering committee and the drive to increase membership in order to establish a global presence. The work programmes currently underway were discussed along with their progress, as were the future work programmes that members are currently voting on.
There were many interested parties at Overflate 2018 who had various questions after the event. If you have any questions surrounding PFPNet, please contact us. For more information, please click here.
