Simon Thurlbeck Introduces PFPNet at BOTH China 2018

Bring on the Heat China was held between August 27-30 in Nanjing, China. This year, the event focussed on the latest development and applications of protective linings and high temperature coatings alongside traditional functional coatings. CUI, multi-dimensional solutions and on-site inspection and testing where also key topics of interest. With such an agenda, this platform was perfect for introducing the concept of PFPNet to China.

 

Attended by over 150 delegates with representatives from leading EPCs, manufacturers and research institutes, Prof. Simon Thurlbeck presented the PFPNet Roadmap, explaining why it was developed whilst outlining the main contents of the document. After clarifying the aims and objectives of PFPNet, it became clear that there are many opportunities for PFPNet to assist Chinese companies in achieving best practice when it comes to specifying and applying PFP. We look forward to welcoming more members in the coming months!

PFPnet

PFPNet is an independent, subscription-funded body, dedicated to raising standards in the use of PFP in industries where hydrocarbons are present. PFPNet will achieve this aim by setting a future technical agenda, and educating based on what has been learned from the past.

PFPNet is a not-for-profit industry-funded body focused on serving the needs of the users of hydrocarbon fireproofing materials and systems, through a focus on education, training, capturing and retaining existing knowledge, researching key topics, clarifying points of confusion and disseminating this to the membership, and to the industry at large – all with the aim of improving quality. PFPNet is focused on the needs of the users of PFP.
