The PFPNet 2024 Conference

The PFPNet 2024 Conference is being held on Monday 21st and Tuesday 22nd October 2024 in Amsterdam.

Timings 

We will open registrations at 09.00 on Monday 21st October with sessions commencing at 10.00 and that we will close the event at 16.00 on Tuesday 22nd October.

Agenda

We are assembling the technical presentations for the conference and a full agenda will be available shortly.  So far you will hear about:

  • A hydrogen jet fire special:  bringing together testing work being undertaken by PFPNet and others to discuss this emerging area
  • A tunnels special, with technical presentations provided by PFPNet members and others
  • The latest work on 3-sided protection and coatbacks
  • PFPNet guidelines for aged and damaged PFP severity
  • Phase II of our cryogenic spill protection guidelines
  • Considerations around Atex and PFP for CPCEs
  • Experiences of the detailed design of PFP from a major EPC design contractor
  • PFPNet Training and Accreditation

We are inviting technical presentations to the conference on subjects associated with design, specification, testing, installation and maintenance of PFP and CSP systems associated with mitigating hydrocarbon hazards, and hazards associated with the energy transition. 

Cocktail Event

We have a conference cocktail event on the evening of Monday 21st October from 18.00 to 19.30.  Event will be sponsored by PPG.

Attendees

PFPNet Member companies can have a maximum of 4 delegates attend the event as part of the membership.

Non-members can attend for a fee of £500 per day, or £800 for the full two days.  This fee includes the evening cocktail event.

    PFPnet

    PFPNet is an independent, subscription-funded body, dedicated to raising standards in the use of PFP in industries where hydrocarbons are present. PFPNet will achieve this aim by setting a future technical agenda, and educating based on what has been learned from the past.

    PFPNet is a not-for-profit industry-funded body focused on serving the needs of the users of hydrocarbon fireproofing materials and systems, through a focus on education, training, capturing and retaining existing knowledge, researching key topics, clarifying points of confusion and disseminating this to the membership, and to the industry at large – all with the aim of improving quality. PFPNet is focused on the needs of the users of PFP.
