Following successful conferences in Barcelona and Amsterdam, PFPNet is pleased to announce that the 2025 Annual Conference will take place in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK, on Tuesday 21st and Wednesday 22nd October 2025.
This year’s venue is The Common Room (thecommonroom.org.uk), a centrally located, historic site just a 2-minute walk from Newcastle Central Station—ideal for delegates arriving by train.
Conference Highlights
The agenda is currently in development, with confirmed topics including:
- Project updates on Hydrogen jet fire testing
- Developments in CSP (Critical Structural Performance)
- Insights into Damaged PFP (Passive Fire Protection)
In addition to these presentations, the event will offer delegates the opportunity to help shape the future work programmes of PFPNet.
A drinks reception will be held on the evening of Tuesday 21st October, offering a relaxed networking environment for all attendees.
📝 Registration Now Open
To register for the conference, please email information@pfpnet.com. Attendance is free for PFPNet members, while the fee for non-members is £1,000 for the two-day event.
Accommodation
Newcastle city centre offers a wide range of accommodation options, many of which are within walking distance of the venue.
New! PFP Hazard Awareness Course – 23–24 October
To complement the conference, PFPNet and DNV Spadeadam are launching a brand-new PFP Hazard Awareness Course, scheduled for 23rd and 24th October 2025—immediately following the main conference.
This two-day course will include both classroom sessions and practical demonstrations. It is designed for professionals seeking deeper insight into PFP hazards and will be open to both members and non-members. PFPNet members will receive a discounted attendance fee.
Delegates typically stay in Newcastle and travel to Spadeadam. A coach transfer will be provided from the Crowne Plaza Hotel, making this a convenient accommodation choice for those attending both the conference and the course.
Further course details and booking links will be announced shortly via the DNV Spadeadam website.
We look forward to welcoming you to Newcastle this October!
